Dyed

Image
"My friend Angie gave me an idea to do this painting. She was explaining to me how she enjoyed the tye-dyed look it was giving. I took this painting as a challenge because I knew it would be different than sketching and filling in the lines with paint. I would have to fray the bush over and over till I got this look with multiple colors."

"My inspiration for this painting came from SpongeBob. A character in the show, Squidward, is a painter. For most of his paintings, he takes a more abstract approach and usually paints himself. This was one of his paintings that I found Interesting. I also took it as a challenge because I knew the curves would be a little difficult and new for me."

Smile!

"I'm a glass-half-full person, I always try to look on the bright side of things and be optimistic. I wanted to combine this optimism with chaotic, vibrant energy. With this painting, I wanted it to make the viewer happy with the bright colors and smiling face."

Rick

Image
"I found inspiration for this drawing in the show "Rick and Morty". The show is very out of the box and creative. It involves a scientist named Rick and his grandson Morty going on adventures. The show usually includes many "twists" which the viewer doesn't necessarily expect. I enjoy the show's unique creativity and animation. I decided to see if I could amp up the already hectic show to be even more vivid and chaotic."

"As Zig Ziglar once said, "Your mind doesn't know the difference between reality and fantasy.". It's fascinating to think that everyone sees everything differently. Everyone is a unique, person that has their interpretation of their world. We all have our thoughts and theories, who knows which one is right?

Luslob

"I find melting textures to be appealing. It draws the eye in a way to see, unlike reality. I wanted the blob to sort of disguise himself in with the background to create the image of everything melting together."

"When I created this painting, I was drawn to abstract minimalism. I adore the matching vibrant, cool colors on top of the bright white. The different elegant leaf patters add an abstract vibe to this painting that I admire. While being complex, at the same time, the painting is simple."

Panic

Image
"Over small inconveniences, we as humans tend to make these small, daily issues seem bigger than they are. Since we don't realize this, when others tell us to "calm down" or "relax", we take it negatively. So I wanted to interpret this negative aspect into something positive with bright colors. Because In the end, we should let things take their course and not panic."

Third Eye Alice

"I admired the effort and bright creativity put into the movie Alice In Wonderland. The creators thought unrealistically in an interesting way. I was drawn to the elegance but also odd features of this painting. ".
