Artist Statement
"I've always had an interest in the 'trippy' sort of aesthetic. I'm naturally drawn to bright, eccentric pieces of art.
One day I was on Pinterest, and photos of drawings and paintings of this kind of art were reappearing in my feed. I had just gotten canvases and decided to try and paint one. The results were better than I had expected because I never really took myself for an artist. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and a deeper connection to the art that I loved to look at.
For many of my paintings, there are deeper meanings behind just the paint. I believe that everything has a reason and it adds more to the piece. You notice the piece differently when you"re searching for the authors meaning, rather than the painting itself.
I've learned a lot while creating my art; patience, precision, and practice. As a result of my paintings, I hope my audience thinks deeply into them and catches their attention. After I create my art, I either give it away or hang it in my room.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the art!"
